Virtual Formula 2010 - How to Submit Your Results
Time is up for the 2010 edition of the Virtual Formula!
All teams participating to the 2010 edition of the Virtual Formula should upload the following files (deadline is May 31st, 2010), all zipped into a password protected archive named after the team.
- Vehicle database (created with the help of the "publish" function that exports the model and its property files)
- The completed submission entry form (this form can be found as a .doc file in the Virtual Formula area on the VI-grade website at this link)
- All the files generated by the MaxPerformance event.
- The road .rdf file you used to achieve your lap time.
- The path .drd file you used to achieve your lap time.
- The road graphics .obj file you used to achieve your lap time.
- The customized suspension text files you used to create your suspensions in VI-SuspensionGen.
- The send_svm.xml file, which was produced by the simulation with the submitted lap time. This file can be found in your VI-CarRealTime working directory. By default this is "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME" where USERNAME is the windows username used, while the simulation was run. The file will be named the same as the event name you used in the simulation with the "send_svm.xml" suffix. This folder may contain multiple send_svm.xml files so be sure to select the right one. If you have problems finding this file we suggest you ask your system administrator for help.
The Finish line
The final step to submitting your results is the upload of the complete zip file onto the VI-grade FTP server.
