The Virtual Formula 2015 is almost over! We are happy to report that 150 teams from all over the world have joined this year's edition.
We would like to inform you that the deadline for submitting your results for the 2015 edition of the Virtual formula has been extended to March 20th, 2015 at 24:00 GMT.
Please find below the instructions to submit your results:
1) All teams participating to the 2015 edition of the Virtual Formula should prepare a password-protected ZIP file named after the team and containing the following files:- A completed submission entry form (using the template available at this link) including all the following results achieved with your vehicle: Laptime in autocross event, Top speed in autocross event, Fuel used in autocross event, Final time in acceleration event, Maximum lateral acceleration in steering pad event (see the plot examples available at this link for a proper results extraction);
- Your model database. It is required that you use the publish tool in VI-Motorsport in order for all file paths to be properly neutralized;
- All files that have been generated by the VI-Motorsport simulations (result files including the send_svm.xml file);
- The .rdf, .drd, .obj files you used to achieve your results;

3) Please send us to virtualformula@vi-grade.com an e-mail with the password used to protect the ZIP file, once your ZIP file is successfully uploaded.
4) This year, extra points will be assigned to teams that will demonstrate their ability to perform additional dynamic maneuvers in VI-Motorsport in order to better understand the vehicle dynamics behaviour (5% of the points scored through the mandatory exercise) and dimension the vehicle suspension according to the calculated loads in Adams/Car (10% of the scored points scored through the mandatory exercise). If you have completed also this part of the exercise, please make sure to include the related information which summarizes your engineering decisions in the technical report prior submitting it to us. The report will then be evaluated by a technical committee formed by vehicle dynamicists from VI-grade and MSC Software.
The winning team will be announced at the end of April 2015 and will be awarded with a complete hardware + software package including multiple user access to the VI-Motorsport and Adams/Car technologies.
Good luck with your participation to the Virtual Formula!
