Danisi Engineering and VI-grade announce technical partnership
Romanshorn (CH) May 26th, 2015 – VI-grade AG, the leading provider of best-in-class driving simulation technology, today announced a technical partnership with Danisi Engineering, Italian engineering services company in the field of chassis systems providing concepts, engineering, prototyping and low volume production.
In detail, the two companies are willing to provide integrated engineering services to the global automotive market: through a system-level approach, VI-grade and Danisi Engineering will offer to automotive OEMs and Tier1 suppliers expertise, tools and products for chassis design process, from the conceptual phase to the final sign-off, through simulation, design, prototyping and testing.
The first step of the technical partnership calls for the installation at Danisi headquarters in Nichelino (Turin, Italy) of VI-DriveSim Static, the driving simulation solution based on the VI-CarRealTime and VI-GraphSim software technologies.
“We are currently combining the VI-DriveSim static simulator with a physical EPS assisted steering rack, with the ultimate goal of more accurately reproducing steering feedback to the driver by including physical hardware in lieu of complicated and difficult-to-obtain software models” said Giacomo Danisi, Owner and CEO, Danisi Engineering. “Thanks to this combined technology, we can perform a set of manoeuvres encompassing different driving conditions, matching the results of dynamic simulations with measured data and therefore building a reliable specification framework.”
“We are extremely happy to announce our technical partnership with Danisi Engineering”, said Guido Bairati, International Sales Director, VI-grade. “We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with Danisi Engineering in the following segments: Conceptual Design, Vehicle Dynamics, Ride & Comfort, Durability, Control Systems, Physical Prototyping.”
Danisi Engineering presented a paper titled “Target setting for an EPS-in-the-Loop test bench” and related to the usage of VI-DriveSim Static at the 2015 VI-grade Users Conference, held on Apr 15th-16th, 2015 in Trieste, Italy.
