In the initial development phase, the tyre specifications are simulated using FEA and internal models, having their own basic characteristics evaluated such as dimensions, footprint, static stiffness, rolling resistance, etc. In a second stage, forces and moments are also assessed, followed by tyre modelling, but still in isolation from the vehicle. Through a connection with VI-CarRealTime, now integrated as part of the automated virtual workflow, vehicle dynamics simulations are democratized for all tyre engineers. By selecting a vehicle model from the library and defining the manoeuvre, the engineers receive an automatically post-processed report with objective KPIs to compare the proposed specs, already streamlining the best ones for optimized driving simulator sessions.
