What is HyperDock?
The HyperDock cockpit has recently been installed at the Multimatic Vehicle Dynamics Center, transforming the existing DiM250 Simulator into a DiM Full Spectrum Simulator and enabling joint development of Vehicle Dynamics and NVH attributes.
It is an ultra-lightweight, carbon-fiber cockpit system designed for accuracy and efficiency. It replaces the traditional top disk with a direct actuator interface, improving stiffness, reducing inertia, and enhancing responsiveness.
Key features:
- Carbon fiber structure: 40% lighter, 70% less inertial, 10× stiffer than conventional cockpits
- High natural frequency: 3.5× higher than typical designs, for sharper and cleaner feedback
- Integrated vibro-acoustic transducers: precisely located at seat, steering column, and heel plate
- Full retrofit compatibility: upgrades any VI-grade simulator to Full Spectrum capability
HyperDock is a core element of VI-grade’s Full Spectrum Simulation ecosystem.
Additional Demo & Software Stations
In addition to the HyperDock launch, attendees can join multiple technical demo stations throughout the day, including:
- Immersive VR / XR on the COMPACT FSS simulator
- HiL Steering Rig (MdynamiX) connected with New Eagle ECU and Meccanica 42 Camera-in-the-Loop on a static simulator
- Interactive software stations, including: VI-CarRealTime and VI-DataDrive Cloud for real-time data analytics, VI-WorldSim for ADAS testing and VI-NVHSim for noise & vibration studies
