VIRTUAL PROVING GROUND WITH REAL-TIME SIMULATION TECHNIQUE

Automobiles are composed of many subsystems, such as suspension, steering, powertrain, brakes, and so on. These subsystems should be evaluated cosidering running conditions. It is also important to understand how the characteristics of these subsystems affect the vehicle as a whole system. This presentation will introduce some examples of "virtual running test", in which bench tests of these subsystems are conducted based on real-time vehicle dynamics simulation.
